The 8th International BUILDAIR-Symposium „Airtight Buildings, Thermography and Ventilation Systems in Practice“ offers a variety of presentations and firsthand accounts of experiences in planning and practicing air tightness measurements, quality controls, thermographies and ventilation systems. Our symposium is addressed to experienced practitioners as well as to beginners in this topic. As usual, we will set high value on practical oriented user knowledge and intensive exchange between the participants.

As we have been organizing this kind of events for 20 years now - in 1993 the e.u.[z.] organized its first meeting of experts in Springe-Eldagsen - we would also like to take this anniversary as an opportunity to look retrospectively to the past.

However the current norms will be – the professional planning, measuring and realization of airtight building envelopes with a view to achieve a certain comfort, functional ventilations and high energetic standards is still a discipline asking for a good education and profound knowledge. By our symposium we want to consolidate this knowledge and help to get even more professional and confident in daily professional routine. It is of utmost importance for all craftsmen, energy consultants, planners and architects working in this field to be well informed and schooled in this topic.
